Twitter can be regarded as a kind of publicly viewable diary with telegram-like entries (in contrast to Facebook, where only registered persons or – depending on the settings – only friends are able to view the posted entries).

 
These short entries are called tweets and are limited to 140 signs. In Twitter you try to gain as many followers as possible and thus become more popular. On a Twitter page you post by means of so-called hashtags (#). Twitter has been in existence since 2006 and has about 270 million members.

ArgYou does not use Twitter, mainly because it prefers to maintain direct contacts with media professionals and customers. Twitter is used intensively by journalists, among others, and also for PR purposes. ArgYou measures Twitter streams on demand and when available.
